Welcome to Mulberry Grove-- Moab’s pedestrian-centered, green-built, neighborhood adjacent to the Mill Creek Parkway. This 20 acre community is truly something magical. Organic. Car Free. Sustainable. Bicycle Friendly. Chemical Free. And 100% Environmentally Conscious. It’s your retreat from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. What’s even better-- you’re right in town. Urban sustainability at its finest. 60% of the land is community space; there is a community pond, chickens, composts and so much more. Now, shall we get onto the actual house? It’s beauty is stunning. The love that went into building the home, and the desire to keep it as energy efficient as possible is incredibly apparent as soon as you walk up to the home. There is a carport just on the outside of the community where you park and then walk to your home. You can still drive your car up to the house if needed, but the designated parking area is located just a short walk away. There is a wagon for you to use too! This 3 bedroom two bath house was built from the ground up by the owner of the home. Well technically, it was built from two feet under the ground! This helps its energy efficiency. The house is complete with insulated hay bale walls, concrete flooring, stucco exterior and walls. It is made of recycled materials, organic paint and materials. Because the house is so environmentally friendly, it has to remain a chemical free home. Soap & water do just fine for cleaning! You’re going to fall in love with your downstairs bathroom oasis, it has a huge tub and beautiful wall mosaic created by the owner of the home. The upstairs bathroom is just as beautiful, complete with a peaceful pebble shower. Your living room and kitchen space are just as serene as the rest of the home. Large counter tops, updated appliances, top of the line water filtering system, and tons of storage space make up your kitchen! Your living space has a sleeper sofa, smart tv, library, and big windows that let in natural light. Borrow a book, make a cup of tea, and admire your views of the La Sal Mountains and Moab Rim. The downstairs level also has a pantry, washer/dryer, and plenty of closet space. The home has a swamp cooler, and wood burning fireplace. There are two bedrooms on the lower level that have fun bunk beds and loft spaces, and one bedroom upstairs with a queen size bed. Your outdoor space is just as epic as the home. There is a huge garden full of wildflowers, herbs and different fruits and veggies. You’ve got grass-- a luxury many Moab residents do not have. There is a compost right next to your backyard (where you can compost most anything besides red meat). The community pond is literally 10 steps from your yard. The backyard has bike storage, a kayak, and a wagon that you can use for gardening or carrying groceries in.
